Mixed Class

Scratching your head? Well... don't! Your Travel Whizz is pretty handy when it comes to Mixed Class airfares, so let us tell you a little bit about them.

In a nutshell, Mixed Class airfares are a cost effective way to live it up in the pointy end of the plane on international flights. Part of your journey will be completed in Economy Class and part of it in First or Business Class, depending on the airline.

For example, a Mixed Class ticket from Melbourne to London via Singapore would have you travelling in Economy Class from Melbourne to Singapore. For your onward journey to London, you will transition to the land of leg room, more seat positions than you can poke a stick at, lie-flat beds, gourmet food and all the other fun stuff you’ll find in a First or Business Class cabin. On your return flight, you would again enjoy the finer things in life on your journey from London to Singapore, before moving into the Economy cabin for your final flight back to Melbourne.

So what’s the big deal? Did we mention you can save almost half the cost of a full First or Business Class airfare by choosing a Mixed Class airfare instead?! Most airlines offer Mixed Class fares, just ask your Travel Whizz for more information when planning your next international flight.
