Checking In

When it comes to checking in for your flight, our Travel Whizz motto is ‘expect the unexpected!’

We recommend planning ahead for your journey to the airport. Check the best route, the most convenient mode of transport, plan your parking, arrange a chauffeur or make a reservation at an airport hotel. Always allow plenty of time for traffic and possible delays at the airport.

Domestic Flights

You can check-in for most flights on your airline’s website 24 hours prior to your departure. If you do this, please be sure to print your boarding pass and have the required photo identification ready at the airport.

Please plan to be at the airport at least 60 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. If you have baggage to check, please proceed to your airline's baggage drop area prior to passing through airport security.

If you prefer to check-in at the airport, proceed to your airline check-in counter with your photo identification and check your baggage if required. Now it's time to proceed through airport security. Here you will be screened for prohibited items. You can find out more information about what items are prohibited on the airport's website or by contacting your airline. Once you pass through airport security, simply proceed to your boarding gate.

Each airport terminal is different. Some contain a broad selection of retail shopping outlets for you to peruse, along with cafes, bars and restaurants. Some terminals will only offer a vending machine or basic food kiosk. Simply contact your airline for more information. Please ensure you return to your boarding gate before your scheduled boarding time. This helps to avoid delays and those awkward sprints through the terminal to make your flight!

International Flights

Be sure to check your ‘important things’ list prior to leaving home, triple checking you have your passport and flight itinerary.

Ensure you arrive at the airport at least 120 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. We know it's much more enjoyable to arrive at your departure terminal with time to spare, rather than sitting in traffic wondering if you're going to make it.

Once in the terminal, proceed to your airline's check-in counters, ready to present your flight itinerary and passport. Check your baggage if required and once you have your boarding passes, proceed through security, then customs. Check the location of your departure gate and the status of your flight. Then, it's time to relax!

Find a cafe, bar or restaurant for your pre-flight refreshments, enjoy some duty free shopping, or proceed directly to your departure gate, grab a seat and start reading that book you've got in your hand luggage! Whatever you do, once you're through customs, please ensure you arrive at your departure gate prior to your scheduled boarding time to help avoid delays. You don't want to hear your name being paged before having to run through the terminal in a dash to make your flight before they leave without you!
